THE SLUDGE HUB & COMPANY
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Providing equal parts guidance and good cheer

JONATHAN LEONARD
The Visionary
The spectre behind The Sludge Hub. Jonathan's fascination with abandoned and degraded spaces led him to imagine how these wastelands might be reused and restored. Jonathan has a curiosity about forgotten spaces, seeing not just decay, but the potential for renewal. An eco-auditor by trade, Jonathan brings his knowledge of waste streams, bioenergy, and chemicals to the table. With it, he envisions and seeks out projects that transform abandoned mine spaces into ecological opportunities.

BRIAN HURLEY
The Sludge Slinger
Brian has been “slingin’ sludge” for over ten years with various non-profit watershed groups throughout north central WV. He holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences that is paired with real world Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) experience, real world watershed restoration experience and real world success stories. When out of the office-and not doing field work, Brian is probably enjoying those very streams and watersheds he works so hard to restore.
